Compositing-layering in Nuke

This project was one of our first exposures to the 3d program, Nuke. All images were supplied. The assignment was to scale and layer the assets to make the image realistic and believable. Color corrections, blurs, and shadows were added as well.

Compositing extra credit

This is something I did for some extra credit in my compositing class. The image of the girl jumping was supplied to me, it needed to be extracted and the environment painted. A tutorial was given as well, and this was the final product!

Side project-practicing landscape painting

This wasn't for class, just something I wanted to do in my free time.

The top image is a landscape I found, and felt the need to paint it! As always, there are more things that can be done and tweaked, but I was tired of staring at it for now :)

Compositing-speed painting warm up

This was a project assigned in the beginning of class as a warm up. We were given 15 minutes to replicate an image displayed up on a projector. This was more difficult than previous landscape paintings, not only for the time limit given, but I was unable to extract the colors from the original image like I had been before. A little sad that I was unable to complete it, but a very fun assignment none the less!

Compositing-digital painting exercises

For this assignment we were allowed to choose an image of line art that we found interesting. The image is originally a simple line design in which I needed to add life and color. All color was painted in photoshop including the background.

Compositing-digital painting exercises

For this assignment we were given images of a landscape and needed to replicate the image as close as possible using 1 layer in photoshop. Original photos are on the top. Still adjusting to photoshop but I feel like I'm starting to get the hang of it :)
